Severed Colours is the second book in the Colour Wielders series. It is not a standalone novel, and you will be lost if you read it without reading Colour Wielders first. This is going to be a rather short review because I can't review it without massive spoilers from book one.

I loved Quinn in the first novel. Okay I suppose I still like her quite a bit, but her attitude grated on me in this second book. She's been through so much, I completely understand, yet it still was annoying at times. Arik is even hotter as he skirts the line while trying to save Quinn.

Severed Colours is full of tumultuous emotions, shady dealings, sweeping fantasy, and hot romance. Once again, I loved the secondary characters—a parade of intriguing creatures and mythological beings. Severed Colours is recommended for ages 18+ for language and sexual situations. This one is even steamier than the first. If you like fantasy romance, add this one to you to-read list.
